Widely outcroping near the Shimen realgar deposit, Hunan, and derived from siliceous sinter induced by hot springs, silicalite has trace elements similar with those of the ores and the modern hot spring sediments.

察尔汗盐湖，除其边缘分布有１０个卤水湖或季节性卤水湖外，其余均为盐壳所覆盖。
