Based on the analysis of hazard-safety means for open-top containerships,this paper introduces the elements of assigning load lines and the safety requirements for such ships navigating in restricted sea areas,which are developed by considering IMO regulation Interim Guidelines for Open-Top Containerships and characteristics of restricted sea areas.
